the more Son of David have pity on me. Jesus stopped and said, call him. So they called the blind man saying, do I take courage? Get up, Jesus is calling you. He threw aside his cloak, swung up and came to Jesus. Jesus said to him in reply, what do you want me to do for you? The lineman

replied to him, master. I want to see you told him go your way. Your faith has saved. You immediately received his side and followed him on the way, the gospel of the Lord to you Lord Jesus Christ. Upon hearing that is what Jesus of Nazareth is passing by. But he immediately makes his desperate

plea to our Lord for help. Jesus son of David have pity on me. It’s like an S os type of thing. Have mercy on me, please. If you are familiar with these two psalms, psalm six and Psalm 86. This statement, Jesus Son of David have pity on me is

often a plea to God for help in that particular movement. But Simeus is just expressing his absolute confidence, his absolute faith in God’s power in God’s goodness that he might relent and do the impossible for him through Jesus, the Son of David. He prays that God through Jesus might restore

him to wholeness, which is part of God’s Messianic promise I came into the world so that those who do not see might see and those who can, who do see might become blind. He is referring, Jesus is referring here to the blindness of the scribes and the Pharisees. You know, Pope Benedict described

this beautiful encounter as the decis decisive move between the Lord and the suffering man. They found each other face to face God with the desire to heal and the suffering man with the desire to be healed. And the Pope continues to say two freedoms, two converging desires. What do you want me

to do for you? The Lord asked the poor man and he replies, master, I want to see go on your way. Your thief has saved you, my friends. This is a beautiful encounter between human and divine because it is dot It is personal. It is relational notice that after the miracle healing Bartimaeus
